Short info (Image hotspot)
The “Image hotspot” section in Shopify allows you to add interactive hotspots to your images, providing additional information or highlighting specific areas of interest. When you add an “Image hotspot” section to your store, you can upload an image and then place hotspots on it.
How to access the Image hotspot section
Access this section through the theme customizer:
- Navigate to Online Store > Themes
- Select “Customize” on your active theme
- On any theme template, click “Add section”
- Search and select “Image hotspot”
To insert a new section between existing ones, follow the steps in the article "Add a section"
How to configure the Image hotspot section
Basic Components
The “Image hotspot” section consists of two primary components:
- General settings – These control the overall settings of the section. Navigate to article in this category “General settings (Image hotspot)”
- Block – Each block has its own individual settings.
Navigate to articles “Hotspot item” and “Hotspot featured item” in this category
The “Image hotspot” section allows you to customize the hotspot item and hotspot featured item block by clicking on block after adding.
