Customer accounts

Customer accounts let your customers sign in to view and manage their orders, profile information, and saved addresses. When a customer signs in, the details stored in their account are auto-filled during checkout for a faster checkout experience.

Customer accounts is the newest version of customer accounts, and lets your customers sign in using a one-time 6-digit verification code sent by email. A password isn't required to sign in.

Customers can sign in using the following options:

• A one-time six-digit verification code that's sent to their email address
• Sign in with Shop, which is turned on automatically for stores using Shop Pay, or for stores on the Shopify, Advanced, or Retail plans.

Customizing Checkout and Customer Accounts

To add or change the styling for customer accounts:

1. In the Theme Customizer, open the dropdown menu at the top.
2. Select Checkout and Customer Accounts to open the page.
3. The Checkout tab in admin settings will appear.
4. Click the Customize button to modify the styling for checkout and customer account pages.

Header

Add a logo for checkout and customer account pages.

Order Summary

Set a background color or image for customer account pages and checkout summary.

Color

Add colors to both customer account pages and checkout.

Typography

Define fonts and text styles for customer account pages and checkout.
