Pickup availability block (Product)

Show customers when and where a product can be picked up. To enable pickup follow these screenshots


✅ Enable Pickup in Shopify Admin (Required Setup)

Before adding pickup availability to the theme, you must configure locations and inventory correctly in Shopify.


1️⃣ Create Store Locations

Go to:

Shopify Admin → Settings → Locations

Add each physical store:

  1. Click Add location
  2. Enter:
    • ✅ Location name (e.g., Downtown Store)
    • ✅ Full address (required for pickup display)
    • ✅ Phone (optional)
  3. Enable:
    • Fulfill online orders from this location
  4. Save

👉 Repeat for all pickup stores.


2️⃣ Enable Local Pickup

Go to:

Settings → Shipping and delivery

Find Local pickup section.

Enable pickup:

  1. Click Manage
  2. Select location(s)
  3. Enable:

This location offers local pickup

  1. Configure:
  • Pickup ready time
    • Ready within 2 hours
    • Same day
    • 24 hours
  • Pickup instructions

    (shown in checkout + notifications)

Example:

Wait for confirmation email before arriving. Bring order number and ID.
  1. Click Save

3️⃣ Add Inventory to Locations (IMPORTANT)

Pickup only works if inventory exists at locations.


Open a product:

Shopify Admin → Products → Select product


Assign inventory locations

Scroll to Inventory section.

  1. Check Track quantity
  2. Under Inventory will be stocked at, select locations:

✅ Downtown Store

✅ Mall Store

✅ Warehouse (optional)


Add stock quantities

Click quantities per location:

Example:

Location Quantity
Downtown Store 8
Mall Store 3
Warehouse 0

Click Save.


4️⃣ Repeat for Product Variants

⚠️ Inventory is variant-based, not product-based.

For products with:

  • sizes
  • colors
  • models

You must assign inventory per variant.
