Testimonials settings

This guide describes the Testimonials section.

The main feature is that you can place an image or video on the left and a testimonial review on the right. You can choose to display the default quote icon or add a custom quote. Testimonials can be navigated using arrows or by scrolling with a mouse.


How to access the Testimonials section


Access this section through the theme customizer:

  1. Navigate to Online Store > Themes
  2. Select “Customize” on your active theme
  3. On any theme template, click “Add section
  4. Search and select “Testimonials”

Note: Section cannot be added to the Password page.

To insert a new section between existing ones, follow the steps in the article "Sections and blocks" and locate the section titled “How to add a section”.


How to configure the Testimonials section

Basic Components

The “Testimonials” section consists of two primary components:

  1. General settings – These control the overall settings of the section.
  2. Block Each block has its own individual settings.

Subheading, heading, and description settings are global settings that apply to the entire theme. They can be found in the Global settings category.

You can add image or video

Add an image for the testimonial section.

  • Click “Select Image” to access your media library, upload a new image, or explore free images.
  • You can also connect a dynamic source by clicking the source button.
  • Once an image is selected, you can use the “Change” button to remove, replace, or delete it.
  • After adding your image, options to customize and format it will appear
Image ratio

Select image ratio:

  • Adapt: Automatically uses the image’s original aspect ratio.
  • Portrait: Taller than wide
  • Square: Equal width and height
  • Landscape: Wider than tall

Video

Setting Description
Video Add a video for your media section.
Enable autoplay
  • Toggle to play the video automatically when loaded or disable autoplay.
  • When autoplay is disabled, video controls will appear, allowing users to play/pause or view in full screen.

Padding

Padding is the space inside a section that separates the content from the section’s edges.
