Reading text settings
This guide describes the Reading text section.

How to access the Reading text section
Access this section through the theme customizer:
- Navigate to Online Store > Themes
- Select “Customize” on your active theme
- On any theme template, click “Add section”
- Search and select “Reading text”
Note: Section cannot be added to the Password page.
To insert a new section between existing ones, follow the steps in the article "Sections and blocks" and locate the section titled “How to add a section”.
How to configure the Reading text section
Basic Components
The “Reading text” section consists of general settings.
General settings – These control the overall settings of the section.
To start customizing your collection, click on the “Reading text” section to access its settings.
General settings

| Color scheme |
Apply color scheme for the section from the available color schemes list. Read 'Color scheme' article to learn more about color schemes. |
Top divider
| Setting | Description |
| Show divider | Enables a top divider to visually separate the section from the content above. |
| Line opacity | Adjust the transparency of the divider line. |
| Thickness | Set the thickness of the line. |
Padding
| Setting | Description |
| Top | Space above the divider line. |
| Bottom | Space below the divider line. |
| Top mobile | Space above the divider line on mobile devices. |
| Bottom mobile | Space below the divider line on mobile devices. |
Bottom divider
| Setting | Description |
| Show divider | Enables a bottom divider to visually separate the section from the content below. |
| Line opacity | Adjust the transparency of the divider line. |

Padding
| Setting | Description |
| Top | Space above the divider line. |
| Bottom | Space below the divider line. |

Header
Subheading, and heading
Subheading and heading settings are global settings that are reused across multiple sections. These settings can be found in the Global settings category.

Padding
Padding is the space inside a section that separates the content from the section’s edges.
