Content blocks section — Overview
What it's for:
Content blocks is a flexible, general-purpose section that acts as a blank canvas. Instead of using a fixed, pre-designed layout, you build the section yourself by adding and arranging individual content blocks — text, images, buttons, spacing, dividers, and slideshows — in whatever combination and order your page needs.
How it works:
The section itself only controls the outer container (background, width, height, and padding). All actual content comes from the blocks you add inside it. Some blocks are simple standalone elements (Text, Image, Button, Divider, Spacer, Floating button), while others are layout blocks that hold their own nested blocks:
- Grid → holds Column blocks, letting you arrange content side-by-side in rows (e.g. 3 columns on desktop, 1 on mobile).
- Slideshow and Banner slideshow → hold Slide blocks, each of which can contain its own text, image, and button — for carousels, hero sliders, or promo banners.
- Color slideshow → holds Slide card blocks with a nested color variant image, for product-color pickers or swatch-style carousels.
Because blocks can be freely added, removed, reordered, and nested, the same section can be reused to build many different page layouts without needing a developer.
What you can build with it:
- Hero banners and image sliders
- Feature/benefit grids ("why choose us" rows)
- Text + image combinations (about sections, brand story)
- Product color/variant carousels
- Multi-column layouts with headings, text, and CTA buttons
- Custom spacing and visual dividers between page elements
- Floating call-to-action buttons over any layout
In short: Content blocks isn't one fixed section — it's a toolkit for assembling custom page layouts directly in the theme editor.
