Settings Description
Color scheme

Background Color for the Whole Section:

Choose an appropriate color scheme from the available options to apply a background color for the entire section. This sets the overall visual tone for the footer area.

Frame for Footer Content:

Select a color scheme to create a frame around all footer content. This helps to visually separate the footer from the rest of the page, giving it a distinct, structured appearance.

Highlight Footer Blocks and Selectors:

Choose a different color scheme to highlight specific footer elements, such as footer blocks, country and language selectors, and other key blocks and elements. This allows for more focused visual emphasis and enhances usability.

Footer border

You can choose from the following options to define the border style of the footer:

  • None: The footer will span the full width of the container, with no space on the sides.
  • Small: Adds a small space (padding) on the left and right sides of the footer, creating a subtle border effect.
  • Medium: Adds a larger space on the left and right of the footer.


Setting Description
Logo Upload or select the logo image you want to display in the footer. Make sure the logo is clear and appropriately sized for the footer's layout.
Desktop logo width Adjust the width of the logo to ensure it appears appropriately sized and visually appealing on desktop devices.

Email signup


Setting Description
Show email signup Enable this option to display the email signup form where customers can subscribe to your newsletter and marketing. If this option is not enabled, the other form settings will not be visible. 
Heading Provide a heading to encourage customers to sign up.

Folow on Shop


Follow on Shop allows customers to follow your store on the Shop app. When a customer follows your store, they can receive personalized recommendations and notifications about your products. This helps you to create a more personalized shopping experience for your customers. Learn more how to add “Folow on Shop” button to your store.


After you activate the Follow on Shop” button, it displays in your footer. The location of your “Follow on Shop” button depends on the other settings that you've turned on in the footer, such as email sign up and social media icons.


To show or hide the button on the page, use this checkbox.


Social media icons 


Setting Description
Show social media icons (To display your social media accounts, link them in your theme settings.) The setting displays icons for social media accounts. You can enter a profile link in the “Social accounts” tab within the theme settings.
Color scheme
Choose an appropriate color scheme for the social media icons to ensure they match your overall footer design. The color scheme can affect the following:
  • Icon Color: Adjust the color of the social media icons for contrast and visibility.
  • Hover Effects: Customize the hover state color, such as changing the icon color when users mouse over it.
  • Background Color: Select a background color for the icons or the section containing them.

Country/region selector


Setting Description
Enable country/region selector (To add a country/region, go to your market settings.)

If you add a country selector to your theme, then your customers can choose their country or region from a dropdown list of countries and regions that you've added in your Shopify Payments settings. The local currency is also displayed in the dropdown list beside each country or region.

*If your store is on the Shopify Plus plan, then your store automatically sets your customers' country or region and currency based on their IP address.

Show country flag Display or hide the flag of the selected country by marking the checkbox or removing the mark.
Show country name Display or hide the name of the selected country by marking the checkbox or removing the mark.
Show currency code Display or hide the currency code of the selected country by marking the checkbox or removing the mark.

Language selector


Setting Description
Enable language selector (To add a language, go to your language settings.)

Providing content in your customers' native language can improve sales by making it easier for them to understand your marketing, product details, shipping, and return policies. This is particularly important for international customers. To enable multiple languages on your Shopify store, you can create separate URLs for each translated version of your content. When a customer lands on a translated URL, your store will automatically display the corresponding translated version, if available. 

*Make sure that you have a multi-setup of languages in your store settings.

Show ISO code Display the ISO language code (e.g., “EN” for English or “FR” for French) in the language selector for easy identification.

Payment methods


Setting Description
Show payment icons Shows the icons for all payment methods that are available in your store. Payment methods should be set up in Theme Store/Settings/Payments section, and then they will be visible in footer.

Footer note

Setting Description
Note In this section, you can add a footer note that will appear at the bottom of the block. This note is often used for legal disclaimers, copyright information, or any other small but important text that needs to be visible at the footer.

Policy links


To add store policies, go to your policy settings.

Setting Description
Show policy links Check the box to add policy links into your theme under the footer.
Policy background color Choose the background color for the policy section in the footer.
Policy text color Select the text color for the policy section.

Section padding


Setting Description
Top padding The 'Top padding' setting allows you to adjust the amount of space at the top of the section using a slider. 
Bottom padding The 'Bottom padding' setting functions similarly to the “Section top padding” setting, but controls the space at the bottom of the section. 
Top Padding (Mobile) The 'Top padding (Mobile)' setting allows you to adjust the amount of space at the top of the section specifically for mobile devices, using a slider.
Bottom Padding (Mobile) The 'Bottom padding (Mobile)' setting works similarly to the 'Top padding (Mobile)' setting but controls the space at the bottom of the section for mobile devices.
External padding top If you apply a different color scheme to the content, creating a separate frame for it, you can adjust the top space from section to this frame on desktop.
