Setting Description
Color scheme

Choose an appropriate color scheme for the banner from the schemes list. The color scheme includes different colors for the background, heading, breadcrumbs, and other elements in the banner.

*Applying a color scheme automatically updates all associated colors set in the theme settings according to the created color schemes. You can edit colors in this block, but it will impact the other sections and blocks in which the same color scheme is used.  Learn more about color schemes.

Show breadcrumbs By enabling this option, breadcrumbs will be displayed on the search banner, providing navigation links to help visitors back to main page – homepage.
Heading size

The heading size setting offers three options to control the size of the heading:

  • Small
  • Medium
  • Large
Text

To add text after heading in search banner, simply enter the text in the provided field.

In the top menu of the field, you can find options to customize the heading such as making it bold, or italic.

Text size

Choose the font size for text:

  • Small
  • Medium
  • Large
  • Extra large
  • Extra extra large
Number of columns on desktop The “Number of columns on desktop” setting allows you to select the number of columns in which your products, blog cards, and pages will be displayed on larger screens, and on tablets. You can select from 2 to 5.
Enable voice search Activate the voice search feature, allowing users to search for products, collections, blog posts, or pages using voice commands.


Filtering and sorting


Settings Description 
Color scheme Choose a color scheme for the filter from the available list. This allows you to customize the appearance of the filter options, making it easier for users to identify and interact with them based on their preferences or design requirements.
Enable filtering

Slide the button to the right to activate filtering. Once enabled, you’ll see a filter option appear at the top of the search page, right after the search field.

You can add or modify filter options through the Shopify Admin under the Search & Discovery App in the Filters section.

Desktop filter layout

We have three filter layouts:

  • Horizontal
  • Vertical
  • Drawer

Try each of them and select according to your preferences.

Enable sorting  Slide the button to the right to enable sorting at the top of the product grid template (with a 'Sort By' dropdown list).
Sorting color scheme Select a color scheme for the “Sort By” button.
Sorting drawer color scheme Select a color scheme for the “Sort By” options. This color scheme will apply to the dropdown menu that allow customers to sort products based on various criteria, such as price, popularity, or newest arrivals.

Setting Description
Image ratio

The “Image ratio” setting allows you to control how images are displayed on your website based on their width-to-height ratio. You have several options to choose from:

  • Adapt to image: This option uses the aspect ratio of the images, ensuring that they are not cropped and displayed in their original dimensions.
  • Portrait: This option crops the images to use a 2:3 ratio, creating a taller appearance with a width that is 2/3 of its height.
  • Square: This option crops the images to use a 1:1 ratio, creating a square-shaped display with equal width and height.
  • Landscape: This option crops the images to use a 3:2 ratio, creating a wider appearance with a width that is 1.5 times the height.
Show second image on hover Check this option to display a second image on hover. This will only apply if the product page includes more than one image.
Show vendor Show the vendor of the products under the product title. 
Show product rating Displays the average product rating in stars with the number of reviews in parenthesis, for example: ★★★★★ (8). Also requires a product review app such as Shopify Product Reviews, and Metafield definitions for reviews.rating_count and reviews.rating.
Promo text Create a metafield of type "Single line text" to customize info. Paste name here (e.g.,"Promo text") Learn more. Check please also link to instruction before the table. Text can be added only through metafield.
Product info

Create a metafield of type "Single line text" to customize info. Paste name here (e.g.,"Product info") Learn more.

Product Info:

You can add product information in two ways:

  1. Fixed Text: Type a general text that will appear the same on all products. This can be useful for standard information that applies to every product, such as shipping details or return policies.
  2. Metafields: Add different product info through metafields, allowing you to customize the content for each individual product. This is ideal for displaying unique details such as specifications, features, or any other product-specific information.
Show products stock

Swipe the button to the right to display stock information at the bottom of the product card. The stock status will vary based on the product type:

  • In Stock: If the product has multiple variants and the first variant is out of stock, but another variant has stock available, the status will show “In Stock”.
  • Out of Stock: If no units of the product or its variants are available.
  • [Amount] in Stock: Displays the available quantity if the first variant has stock, or if the product doesn't have variants and has available stock.
Quick add

If you activate the Quick add option, then your customers can add an item to their cart from the product card. Choose from the following options:

  • None: No quick add feature is displayed.
  • Standard: Displays one of the following quick add buttons on product cards:
    • Add to cart: For single-variant products. When a customer clicks the button, the product is automatically added to their cart.
    • Choose options: For products with variants. When a customer clicks the button, a pop-up dialog displays for them to make their variant selection and then proceed with the purchase.
  • Bulk: Displays the Quick order list functionality.

Blog card  


Blog card styles also apply to page cards in search results. To change card styles update your theme settings.

Setting Description
Show date Enable this option to display the publication date of the blog post.
Show author Enable this option to display the author's name of the blog post.

Mobile layout 


Setting Description
Number of columns on mobile

Choose how products, blog cards, pages are displayed on mobile devices:

  • 1 Column: Displays cards in a single-column layout for a simple and focused view.
  • 2 Columns: Splits cards into two columns for a compact and organized layout.

Section padding


Setting Description
Top padding The 'Top padding' setting allows you to adjust the amount of space at the top of the section using a slider. 
Bottom padding The 'Bottom padding' setting functions similarly to the “Section top padding” setting, but controls the space at the bottom of the section. 
Top padding mobile The 'Top padding mobile' setting allows you to adjust the amount of space at the top of the section specifically for mobile devices, using a slider.
Bottom padding mobile The 'Bottom padding mobile' setting works similarly to the 'Top padding mobile' setting but controls the space at the bottom of the section for mobile devices.
